Job title help. What would you call a person who did this stuff?
Firm seeks person for network administration, desktop support, and project management in Windows environment. Expertise with Windows XP, Microsoft Office Suite required. Hardware, software, and networking troubleshooting skills a must. Demonstrated project management capabilities required. The specialist will be required to learn and support third party financial applications and proprietary internal processes, in support of the goals of a growing business, and will manage implementation projects. I.T. degree or certifications, four years of LAN/desktop support, knowledge of SQL, VBA, TCP/IP preferred. Reports to the Director of Information Systems.

Seriously, depending on your office size, the person who is doing the network administration and desktop support is going to have their hands full. Expecting them to also support third party financial applications and proprietary code is way too much, IMO.

11. Oh, well, that's good then.
We have about 60 employees and our network guy is just hugely slammed, all the time. Of course, he does network, desktop, VPN, phones, etc. :hi:

Feed them the latests version of the software the company uses, give them a hot computer, and they will be on call in the office 19 ~ 20 hours a day.

Never say a thing about them playing games on the internet, and they will work for peanuts.

Be sure the have a hot pizza and cans of Red Bull on hand during the job interview.
