I'm coming off one of the best weeks ever - I was out in the real world...

...with my brother's family who were visiting here from SoCal. Showing them and especially their nine-year-old twins around our little neck of the woods was a real treat - got some college baseball in for my nephew and horseback riding lessons in for my niece, and lots of other 'Texas' experiences for them to take back to California with them. We had a week of beautiful weather (mid 70s-80s) and great times.

Meanwhile, I have no idea what Obama's 'bitter' comment bouhaha is all about, what's been happening here, nor any of the latest campaign crapola. I assume Hillary is still 'strident', Obama still 'inexperienced' and possibly 'arrogant', and McCain completely ignored, at least on DU. :shrug:

Real Life: I recommend it highly. :thumbsup: Everyone should try it every now and again. :patriot:

On edit: I see now you're in Houston. Did you not get any of the storms that rolled through last week?

2. No - a little overcast midweek but that was it...

...high pressure and cooler temps rolled in about Thursday. Low humidity and almost no mosquitoes :wow:

I have been out driving my truck for the last two weeks. I haven't been online all that much. I have no idea what all this garbage is about. And I really don't care. I am more concerned about making my deliveries and figuring out how to pay for fuel.

I can't imagine how you're covering $4 diesel. Fuel surcharges only go so far.

I actually own three trucks. The fuel prices are getting ridiculous. I have paid anywhere between $3.98-$4.16 a gallon in the last two weeks. Fortunately my freight rates are holding steady so I am doing ok. For now.

It's all Hillary Clinton can run on because she has nothing else.
