Met some of the boyfriend's family yesterday.
I hope I made a good impression (or at least not a bad one LOL). This is completely new territory for me. I have never met any family members of anyone I ever dated before. I am 39 so I know that's kind of weird. I am an oddball in a lot of ways and I know a lot of people do not like me because of it.

Anyway I met his daughter and grandson who have flown in for a visit for a couple of weeks. Yes I am dating a grandfather. That is so weird to me. But it isn't that big of deal I suppose. Just so long as no one calls me grandma. I never know what to do around babies, never having had any myself and only seeing my niece and nephew briefly when they were small. So I guess I probably didn't react the way most people do. I didn't go all "goo goo ga ga" or anything.

Now I suppose he is out with them somewhere. He has other family here, whom I have not yet met. It's weird because we usually talk every day but I haven't heard from him yet.

1. I guess I should go to bed.
No point sitting by the phone. It's late anyway and no one here wants to talk to me either. :silly:

3. I know. I just fret sometimes, usually over pointless things.
now I truly am hitting the sack. Before my face hits the keyboard.

5. Yes I guess it is.
I should have shown up in overalls, with my teeth painted black. LOL.

In fact, if my parents ever get down here, I am going to suggest it to him- it will be a riot to see the expression on my dad's face. My family is strange that way- they would appreciate the joke.
