6. You've gotta remember
to add 'Jayson' if you want

Otherwise...who knows what you'll get. Somehow I've got a feeling that, in this instance, ignorance truly is bliss.

7. My Sweetie's family are avid scuba divers...
She told me that once, a few years back, her little sister
and her DAD sat down together and Googled the phrase "water sports".
Talk about an AWKWARD family moment!

And I was reminded of this just last week. The folks I had been renting
shop space from went bankrupt, so I'm currently building furniture
in my Sweetie's parent's garage....

Sweetie's Mom came out into the garage, bent over and clutching her stomach,
just saying "Rich...Rich... Rich..."
I didn't know if she was having a convulsion or had cut her hand, or what...

Turned out, she was bent over LAUGHING and trying to say "Rich, you gotta see this".

She had been taking inventory of her kitchen supplies to get ready for her Easter
baking, and had Googled the phrase "Does brown sugar go bad?".

The Google search engine recognized "brown sugar" and "bad", and returned a
whole bunch of links that had NOTHING to do with kitchen recipes, if ya knowhutImean!

8. Ah, the joys of search engines.
:P

It seems like no matter what innocuous thing you search for, somehow you'll get porn as a result.

Is there ANY common phrase that they haven't turned into
a sexual euphemism?

Not that I'm complaining, mind you....I spent 25 minutes last week
looking at hardcore porno links with my girlfriend's MOM!

Life is good.

There's some VERY OFFBEAT
"PONY" stuff on the web that
is kinda creepy even by my
standards.

15. Whether you're searching porn or recipes, the WWWexperts all agree:
"Brown Sugar", if properly maintained, doesn't ever go bad.

I just did a search to see what could be so horrifying and I got a lot of mundane and boring stuff.

I dont get it. Whats the big deal about? the difference between the safe search and the nonsafe search on nix are negligible.

19. I had this happen to me a couple of times.
I play in the world's largest trivia contest held every year at my alma mater's radio station. Well, about ten years ago, I was using Google to research a question about a promotion that Kellogg's Frosted Flakes ran during the late 1980s. Well, I can't remember what the string I entered was, but I ended up getting as my number one hit, a porn website called "Frosted Flakes".

Then there was the time I did a Google image search for "baseball bat" for a little graphic I whipped up back when I was a moderator. On the first page was a picture of a guy quite literally shoving a baseball bat where the sun don't shine.
