Hero mom smashes door to save senior
I posted this in GD but thought that maybe the lounge crew would be interested.

BY LISA L. COLANGELO and LARRY McSHANE DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS

A pile of tell-tale mail and the strong shoulder of the one-time girl next door saved an elderly Queens woman trapped in her home for three days after a nasty tumble.

Rose Schwing, 84, languished on the floor of her Woodside home until her ex-neighbor noticed the mail gathering outside her home - and smashed her way through the locked front door.

4. I'm very glad she has someone who cares living nearby.
That is awesome. :)

I hope Ms. Schwing will be okay, and I hope she will have someone checking on her daily to make sure she stays that way.
