Need help finding quotes PLEASE!
I'm engaged in a battle on a list serve with some repukes and am trying to find the following, with no luck:

quotes made by pacifists advocating violence

I know it sounds weird, but trust me, it's for a good cause! I know Martin Luther King had a quote about the need for black men to carry guns, and Jesus has a famous one about coming not in peace but carrying a sword. I know there are must be others. I've googled the life out of my computer and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Any help from DUers would be greatly appreciated! B-)

Luke 22:36-38 (King James Version)

36Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

37For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

38And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

And

"Finally, I contended that the debate over the question of self-defense was unnecessary since few people suggested that Negroes should not defend themselves as individuals when attacked. The question was not whether one should use his gun when his home was attacked, but whether it was tactically wise to use a gun while participating in an organized demonstration." Martin Luther King, Jr., Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community? Chapter II, Black Power, Page 27, Harper & Row Publishers Inc., First Edition, 1967.
