Can someone help me with an NCAA bracket???
Hey everyone!

Okay, so my brothers want to gamble on March Madness, but I know next to nothing about college basketball, other than watching games is fun.

So, now I'm supposed to pick a bracket, but I barely, barely even know what a bracket is, and I don't want to spend the time to figure it out or make reasonable guesses, particularly since I don't know, nor wish to know, jack.

I just want to win big $$$ on a basketball pool.

Can anyone help me????

David

1. It's just guessing, really.
Seriously, the person that won my office pool last year claimed to never watch basketball, and she won just by guessing. I think there's a lot of luck involved in those pools, and you don't need to know too much.

But here are some basic pointers:

1. Never bet on a #16 team. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think a #16 team has beaten a #1 team in the history of the tournament. So, don't count on a 1-16 upset this year.

2. I also think there have only been one or two 2-15 upsets in the history of the tournament, so likewise, don't bet on a #15 team.

3. Count on at least one 4-13 upset and at least one 5-12 upset in the first round. There seems to always be at least one of each. Just take a gamble on those - you have a 1 in 4 shot of getting it right.

4. Don't have any team ranked lower than #4 in your Final 4.

Other than those basics that I follow, I really don't have any advice. Again, guessing is a big part of it. Just make some good guesses and have fun. Good luck! :hi:

3. There's never been an all #1 seed Final-4
until this year, I think.

9 over 8 and 10 over 7 are not always upsets. Google the rankings or vegas odds for clues.
