I guess he doesn't like my 1/20/09 sticker.
I have one of them on my car. Today I was sitting in my car at the gym waiting for my son to get out of a class he was taking. I then saw my brand new Tai Chi instructor walk out to his car. As he passed me sitting in my car, he glanced over at my sticker and flipped me the bird. Obviously, he didn't know it was me there.
I can't take that class anymore, I guess. :(
Do you think I should say something to him?

1. Did he flip you the bird very slowly?
I would tell him to seek a gentler path.

2. LOL, I should have expected this from a guy who said his tour in Iraq was fun and he do it again.

4. I have one of those stickers.
All the comments I have received have been positive. I got some great service at the Jiffy Lube last week after the guy changing my oil asked if we were Democrats and was happy to hear that we are. :)

I think you should ask the guy if you saw what you thought you saw and does he have a problem with you because if he does, you'd be happy to find another instructor. It can't hurt. Sorry people are so rude!

5. I'd let him now why he's losing your dollars.
He needs to learn that there is repercussions for doing something stupid like that.

6. For most of the past 8 years...

we've been attacked with impunity. It was easy to call us weak, unpatriotic, etc. There seems to be something in the Bush supporter mentality that demands being around groups of people who support their viewpoint, and belittling those who disagree with them.

I'd approach it like this. If you confront him, you're just picking a fight. If you like the instructor otherwise, just let it go. If it bugs you, find another Tai Chi instructor.

While I do boycott certain establishments (like the gas station that shows FAUX news at the pumps), I accept that we're a diverse bunch and I interact with lots of people who don't share my beliefs. I will also say this. I am against the war. But I understand the need for some soldiers and their families to feel the way they do. Think of how much they have sacrificed; they have spent years away from their families, watched their friends die and be maimed, and risked their lives. Many of them desperately do not -- will not -- bring themselves to realize that their tremendous sacrifices have been for nothing.

9. I understand that.
However, it certainly says something about the character of this person to do something like that.
