I am a thrift goddess.
Today I was out killing time looking at other people's junk, and I got this:

http://www.amazon.com/Miele-S4210-Carina-Galaxy-Vacuum/dp/B000A7V3H2

for $6! It works perfectly. Light as a feather. The motor is about as loud as the purr of a happy kitten.

I have no freakin' clue why anybody would donate it. But I'm really, really happy somebody did. I needed something that I could take up and downstairs without needing a muscle relaxer and a nap afterward, and my Hoover Self-propelled definitely did not qualify.

I also scored some brand-new still-wrapped in plastic (yes, plastic wrapped in plastic is redundant) Tupperware. I have a weird obsession with Tupperware, so that was awesome.

Oh, and a few new additions to my huge selection of veg*n cookbooks.

1. It is always a good feeling when you find something like that...
PassingFair won't go with me anymore because we end up fighting over stuff.

4. Yeah, but somebody had to have donated it.
It was at Goodwill, not a consignment shop or something.

5. Ah, Goodwill. In that case, tax write off.
No matter, six bucks is ridiculously cheap even for a newer model Hoover.

6. Let me see if I can top that
Last Sunday at Goodwill I found a Caphalon 2 qt saucepan in perfect condition complete with unbroken glass lid for $3.99. Just the size I needed! Oh, the joy of bargains!
