The dog broke his ankle.
We were playing with his ball, I was holding it up and getting him to jump up in the air. For some reason he decided to do a back flip with a half gainer twist and landed on his ankle all wrong. Now I'm down $400 for the emergency room visit and possible surgery. I feel responsible and guilty as hell, no matter how many times I or somebody else reminds me it's his fault he couldn't stick a landing.

1. Aw, sorry for both of you. However, I'm glad to hear his stomach didn't flip,
which would have been much more of a problem.

2. Oh, I didn't tell you about the car ride home from the vet.
All in all it's been 24 hours I wish I could forget.

6. I'm sorry!
One of our dogs tore her ACL several years ago. We think she was chasing a squirrel when it happened. We opted for the $400 surgery with fishing line  as opposed to the $1400 surgery by a specialist. She got a little gimpy a few years ago and the vet said she had developed arthritis but we started giving her glucosamine and she seems fine for an 11-year-old dog. :)

I hope everything goes okay. And no, it's not your fault!

9. Poor guy
Hope he gets to feeling better. My old Beagle broke both of her front legs jumping off the couch last sept. I can understand how upset you are.
