4. Where I live, they're called, "high school kids"
some of the more endearing activities they take part in is playing homeless and begging for food/money after school and on the weekends once tourist season starts.

5. I thought "yippies" were just more political "hippies"
More like liberal activists of the sixties/seventies who didn't necessarily live the "hippie" lifestyle to the same extent as "true" hippies, but were more about making statements protesting the war, etc. I also didn't think "yippies" existed anymore. However, I know that one word can mean a variety of different things to different people.
