1. Darn it - mine is on back order, and I probably won't get it in time
So I'll wear a random St. Patrick's Day shirt I got at Target.

7. I think she meant *on top* of the prison uniform
You can wear naked, I guess. But the key is making sure the outfit hangs well on you.

24. That "pinch" thing doesn't happen in the Irish-American nbhds that I know back East.
Anyone tries that shit on me and it will get my Irish up.

8. I will be dipping white lab rats in green food coloring and then taping them to a t-shirt
I'm not sure that I actually need to dip them in green dye to ensure this keeps me from being pinched.

16. I should wear black. St. Patrick is the worst thing to ever happen to Ireland.
He turned an island full of lusty pagans into uptight Catholics. Bastard. :grr:

20. You haven't been to a proper Irish wedding or . . .
St. Patrick's Day party, have you? From what I've seen, the Irish don't exactly have a reputation for being uptight. And in the old days the Irish church had a pretty independent-minded attitude toward Rome.

21. Though I am of Irish ancestry, the first person to tell me that...
...St. Patrick was the worst thing to happen to Ireland was an actual Irishman. It took me by surprise, too, but it made more sense as I thought about it. :)

22. I'm part Irish too.
And I suppose your Irish friend had a point, but still I'll take the Irish Catholics I know around here over the typical uptight Protestand fundamentalist any day. And we're having a big party tomorrow night at our parish (St. Patrick's). Good times! :)

29. I used to wear red, back when I had some red shirts. Now I just wear shades of black, as usual.
I refuse to wear green in general, but especially not on St. Patrick's Day.

Which is why I used to wear red on St. Pat's - it's opposite green on the color wheel.
