I got my labs back today

T-cell count is up to 247 and viral load is still undetectable. Since the medicine is working so good I don't have to go back for 6 months!

after being drunk for 3 years. I think that is why my labs are doing so good.

I drank heavily for twenty years, so that by the age of 37, I looked and felt 57. I quit for good eight years ago, and now, at 46 I look (so I'm told) and feel like I'm in my 30s. I used to get colds, flu, and bronchial infections all the time, but I haven't had a single on in the past seven years.

Booze certainly seems to depress the immune system, in addition to its well-known effects on the liver, heart, brain, and kidneys.

Well done on the great lab results!

21. Toward the end there

I was getting pneumonia every month and ended up in the hospital a few times. It was when I ended up in ICU that I decided to quit drinking for good. I feel much better than any amount of booze could do.
