Why does the RNC think I'm a repug activist?
Oh, they think I'm a 'grassroots leader' too.
And they're surprised and 'concerned' because they KNOW how generously I've supported President Bush and the RNC in the past.

Why, I NEVER!
Seriously, I've never given a nickel to the repugs, so why would they send me this?
Now, lemme see what I can find to stuff into that little postage paid envelop.
Suggestions?

2. rocks.
After my former Republican g-ma told a fundraising caller how she felt about Bush and his party, she received a call a little while after about the "SUPER SPECIAL AWARD" she was going to be given for being such a great party leader and supporter in the past.

She saw right through the bullshit attempt to flatter her back into the fold, and although I'd like to say she told them where they could shove their award, she never told me if she ever actually said that. She's still a classy lady, you know.

9. Ya know, I'd really like to be alone in a room with him.
Just for 5 minutes.
(Agent Mike? You listenin'?)

The more I learn about what he's done to politics in this state, the more pissed off I am.
Thanks in great part to him, we now have a rabid repug attack dog for Secretary of State.

Her name is Beth Chapman.
Before she was elected as Sec. State, she was State Auditor.
In that capacity she gave a speech at a 'Stand Up for America' rally.
An excerpt:
"I'm here tonight because men and women of the United States military have given their lives for my freedom. I am not here tonight because Sheryl Crowe, Rosie O'Donnell, Martin Sheen, George Clooney, Jane Fonda or Phil Donahue, sacrificed their lives for me.

If my memory serves me correctly, it was not movie stars or musicians, but the United States Military who fought on the shores of Iwo Jima, the jungles of Vietnam, and the beaches of Normandy. Tonight, I say we should support the President of the United States and the U.S. Military and tell the liberal, tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, hippy, tie-dyed liberals to go make their movies and music and whine somewhere else. "

A statewide office holder. Supposedly representing and answering to ALL the citizens of Alabama.
And now she's the Secretary of State with much broader powers than as State Auditor.

I'm 66 years old, but I bet I could still kick Rove's ass.
