I. AM. BACK!
After a way too long "rest" period I started running again 4 weeks ago on and off and this morning I ran 5 miles at a 10:00 pace.

YES!!!

Up at 4AM-Daily Show while I had some coffee.... dressed and stretched. Out the door at 4:52

After a run featuring killer uphill (was no problem a few months ago :grr: ) three walk breaks and a strolling dry heave (excercise is FUN!) I made my way back and looked at my watch---- 5:42

HELL YEAH!

Training for another marathon in May.

I.AM.BACK!

1. Egads, I forgot about the strolling dry heaves
I quit smoking 7 months ago today, and part of my new lifestyle involves my promise to start running when the weather breaks.

I can't wait.

4. I was rather shocked at the time
I kind of half assed it up the last hill (one of the walks) because I usually race home to get our little girl up-I have decided to build in a "cool down" period into my runs now.

Hel lsince I already did a marathon I can run much more the way I want to run and not worry about not finishing.

Good luck. Let me know if you need anything-advice and such. RunnersWorld is good motivation even if it is too geared towards marathon running.

5. I was going to start with a group
every Saturday a big lot of them with the Columbus Running Company meet up and start out together. There are individual groups that pace themselves based on their levels. I have spoken to many of them, and will be welcomed in.

We will see if group running is for me or not after a few outings.

2. OK... that's it. I'm back too
First thing tomorrow morning.

No marathon for me, but a 5K in May and the Tufts 10K in October.

(Thanks for the kick in the butt--I know it wasn't intended as one, but nonetheless...)
