Tonight's budget wine: Bogle Vineyards Petite Syrah
It's got a medium chewy tannin with elements of chocolate, oak, and raspberry. Could hold up well with steak or other hearty dishes.

Anyone ever tried Bogle wines? What do you think of them.

3. i'm afraid so
I haven't tried the Bogle wines but I think I've seen them at the grocery store. I'll try to keep your suggestion in mind.

4. Mrs. Robb should be home any minute
bearing the evening's wine. :)

I like Bogle's petite syrah, although I have to admit I've never tasted any of their other varietals. And I agree, it's got a lot going on for the price.

9. I think I've tried them all
Bogle is my standby, inexpensive wine. It's been years since I haven't had at bottle or two of their Sauvignon Blanc and Petite Syrah at my house. Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, fruity wine that is easy to drink and very light in color. It's a perfect fit in the summer. I don't know much about reds, but the Petite Sirah has a decent amount of body to it for an inexpensive wine.

If you have a World Market near you, they always have at least one of their wines on sale. It's a very safe wine for the price.

10. I think the Merlot is pretty good
Although nothing beats Blackstone when it comes to budget merlots.
