I went go buy Iron Maiden tickets for 5/30 and 5/31. I wound up paying $72.50 for a fucking $49.50 ticket (price for both nights). I understand that companies have a right to make a profit but this is fucking exploitation. What the hell is a "building facility charge"? :banghead:

Last year, I needed to buy tickets to my daughter's dance recital, so I faxed the order in. My $17 tickets ended up being $29.75 each. This year I am going directly to the box office to purchase them, so I do not get fleeced by TicketBastard.

5. The building facility charge is not Ticket Master

charges. It is the feee that the venue charges for certain (read Rock and Roll)acts to play there. It is to cover the loss of property, holes burned in carpets, seats removed,drains unplugged, toilets replaced etc.

So the venue gets a percentage of the fee, not TM.

only not as bad. I paid $40 for 2 tickets to the Matthew Good concert in Chicago and the bastards charged me for extra this and that. Ended up paying $58 for $40 worth of tickets.

The surcharges were over half the cost of the ticket. Utterly ridiculous. We need a class-action suit. Seriously.
