1. Aww! I love poodles! I just hate when people pouf and fluff them all up!

2. I can't help but think of "natural" poodles and those foofy ones as two completely

different breeds of dog.

9. Also, if you let their hair just grow naturally, when you trim them down it's like

getting a whole new dog.

12. Does yours shed a lot? I heard that they are great for people

with allergies because they don't shed.

My aunt has 2 labradoodles. They really just look like poodles though! Precious!

13. No, he doesn't shed at all. Poodles have hair rather than fur, which is why a) they don't shed

and b)it keeps growing.

15. Next time I am in the market for a big dog, I will definitely consider a poodle!

My house is a big hair ball with the 3 dogs I have!

20. The shedding thing was a MAJOR factor in my decision. If all dogs didn't shed I'm

not sure a poodle would be my very first choice. But having lived for decades with cat fur, I can only asy the no shedding thing is a miracle.

My grandparents had a poodle just like yours.

They are VERY intelligent!

6. Those are at Kalaloch on the Washington coast.

Our family has two weeks in a house on the beach, so it's our usual Spring and Fall trip.

:loveya: I love me some doggies. :D :bounce: I had a dachsund/poodle mix dog in the mid-80s, and she was wonderful. I've known other poodles, too, and I just love 'em. :D

10. I lucked out. Sirius has never damaged a thing in the house other than the occassional napkin.

Seriously - not a chair or a shoe or even a book.

I don't think it has much to do with how we've trained him - just how he's wired.

11. Some dogs just don't go through that phase! It is rare but it does happen!

I have only had one of those dogs. The rest of mine were all little heathens!

14. I fully expected to need to crate him when I'm out - but we tried without, and as far as

we can tell he just slept on the couch the whole time, and that's how it's been ever since.

We do suspect that when he's alone he walks around on hind legs, smokes and watches HGTV. But that's okay.

17. "Wired" is how I'd describe poodles...

with their unlimited energy. Can't help loving them, though. There's something special about poodles.

Can't tell from the picture, but is he a standard or something smaller? Seems like the smaller they are the less destructive they are. Sometimes.

19. In that photo he was still shy of a year, so a bit undersized.

He has his papers, and his ancestry is documented - but I have to admit I often wonder if he's not like 1/8th something else because he has a very prominent snout for a poodle.

Though why anyone would lie about that I can't guess, since those -oodle hybrids are so popular.

18. I have 2 very tiny toy poodles. They are incredibly smart and loving.

I`ve been a poodle lover for many years. No matter the size they are excellent watch dogs. Had my last poodle for 19 years (still miss her). But the 2 I have now are endless joy, thier boundless energy can hardly be kept up with. I would never have just one dog again. Two are just too funny and an endless source of amusement. You have a beautiful baby! All she really needs is LOVE, lots and lots of LOVE!
