Anybody Here Watch The FX Show, "The Riches"?

I love that show, but I have one question that bothers me. Have they ever explained how is it that Dale has an English accent, yet everyone around him speaks with a Southern accent?

1. I like that show, but haven't seen it in a long time

I watched the first couple of episodes, then lost track of it because it didn't fit my schedule. I've been meaning to pick up the first season on DVD, but haven't gotten around to it yet. It's a good show, though.

As to your question, I can't remember for sure, but I seem to remember his character explaining that he can do a number of accents, but prefers the british accent because it makes his cons more successful (people are more akin to trust him as a brit than with his southern accent). I could be wrong about that, though ...
