Plumbers! How do you remove a Polly Pocket and plastic "Bee Movie" toy from a toilet trap?
Edited on Mon Feb-18-08 11:00 PM by ftbc
along with wads of yarn, toilet paper and shit...

I have snaked it from both ends to no avail. Time for a new toilet?

Edit to ask: How the hell do I get the shit smell out of my hands? I've tried Goop, dish soap, anti-bacterial soap...

1. I don't know about the toilet, but have you tried vinegar on your hands?

8. I owed you a few!
So, do you have an official explanation as to how the contraband got there? DYING to hear.

God, I hope you're not in a one-bath situation....

3. If you can't pull it out with a closet auger....
Edited on Mon Feb-18-08 11:20 PM by Steven_S
That is - the kind with a little hook at the end of the head - you may wind up having to "pick up" the toilet. Remove all the water, close the shut-off valve, remove the nuts that hold it down and then physically pick up the toilet, turn it upside down, whatever it takes to remove the shit inside and then reinstall it.

I used to charge $125.00 to do this and it was considered cheap in my market (NYC)

You should have used gloves to keep the smell and contamination off your hands. It may take the better part of day to get rid of it. Keep using the stuff you used already.

:hurts:

5. I unbolted it and turned it over... no luck. That junk is jammed in the middle.
The toilet clogged all the time anyway. I'm looking for a better model. Any suggestions?

13. Time for a new crapper
If you went to all the trouble to take it off, you might as well replace the damn thing.

Have you checked with your local water authority to see if they give credits towards a new "low-flow" toilet? Sometimes they do.

10. That's what my friendly local hardware dealer sold me.
The toys were so jammed in there my auger is now a twisted mess :(

Thanks for the lemon juice suggestion. The acid must have something to do with it because vinegar worked.

14. The snake usually works if you are patient
if you took it loose already and had no luck, try taking a water hose to it. LoL.. depending on your relative position to the mason-dixon.. take it to the car wash :P
