4. Al Herschfeld drew that.
Al Herschfeld was a caricurist who did drawings of performers for several decades. He recently died.

25. Here's a hint
The episode name is "Code of Honor" and the weapon was frequently used in to-the-death combat to determine which combattant was more honorable. It's rather like an armored glove, but with spikes that were dipped in poison. Very nasty thing... but how many weapons aren't?

the two sides were actually both prisonsers onthe planet who were driven to annihilate each other, but their punishment was that they couldn't die, so these machines were created to keep them alive, which kept Opaka alive, but none of them could leave

One of my 1st season faves.

83. You know, I always liked Wesley
Call me odd, but I've never found the reason to despise him. He was written somewhat poorly for the first few episodes, and acted a tad strangely, but I think the writers, and Wil Wheaton, grew into the role and did quite admirable with it.

And for bonus points, since this might be too obscure: What's odd about the characters Nurse Ogawa and Keiko as related to the women who played them?

p.s. - I have to leave the computer for a few minutes, so if someone knows FOR SURE they have the answer, go ahead with a new question. Otherwise, sorry folks, but I won't be back for a few minutes.

On the chimp (or monkey or ape - never said, but some kind of primate).

On the Ogawa/Keiko thing, yes they're Asian, but there's something weird about the relationship between the characters and the women who played those roles.

But, that's okay - next question is yours.

Everyone else - keep working on that other question!

178. It was when Worf smashed geordi's lute and said "Sorry"
Straight out of Animal House, when Bluto (That Blues Borther guy) took the other dude's guitar, who was playing some stupid "If I had a Cherry" song, and smashed into the wall and said "Sorry."

168. The new question, because I got Jean Simmons right!
In which episode did we learn the circumstances behind the need for his artificial heart?

Bonus question: Will Star Trek: TOS be re-released by complete seasons on DVD?

don't know the answer to the second - been wondering that myself, and have been holding off buying TOS just in case.

172. Argh!
I don't know the name of the episode, but Q brings Picard back to his days in the Academy, where he can relive the barfight where he got stabbed in the chest over a rigged game of space-pool IIRC. Picard chooses the wiser path, but when returned to the present time, he's a junior level science officer rather than a Captain, which makes Picard distraught. Q takes pitty and all is right with the world.

175. No, by the time of that episode we already knew Picard had a bad heart
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 10:19 PM by Rabrrrrrr
It was todl in the second season - Dr. Pulaski ended up having to do the surgery herself.

Theone you're thinking of is "Tapestry", and what you say about it is correct.

179. Correct plot... need title. Pico fermi...
("Samaritan Snare" just features a trip by Picard to a starbase because the Enterprise lacked the technical goodies needed to repair his artificial heart... hmm, if I were captain and had an artificial heart, I'd rather prefer it if my sickbay had the doctors and equipment to fix the bloody thing if needed, especially when space is big! Really big! If you thought a trip to the drugstore took forever, that's peanuts when compared to space...!)

I'd say start a new thread, but I think i can only do a few more anyway, so unless there are others here who want to play, perhaps we save Star Trek VI for another night.

196. Not a canonical trivia question: why doesn't Worf have Russian accent?
Not to interrupt the flow of the trivia, but I've long wondered about this. He was raised in Russia. His parents have strong Russian accent. Why doesn't Worf?

201. Really?
Could be - I missed all of Worf's story that occurred in DS9, so it might have been explained there.

The story you offer was not in TNG, but that isn't to say that in the four years he was DS9 that more truth could have (and surely was) brought forth.

Intersting - that would help explain it.

I thought maybe it was something that the producers of the show maybe just didn't feel like dealing with.

203. Ah, I see
Of course, you probably don't know, but we've basically forbidden questions about Enterprise and Voyager from these threads, since almost none of us have watched Enterprise (I've never seen it) and most of us haven't seen Voyager (I've seen maybe 8 episodes).

So, I don't know the answer.

6?

Though my guess of 6 was totally that - a guess, with no basis in acquaintance with the show at all, and thus, it really doesn't count.
