I enrolled for Pharmacy tech training and my instructor today started out with telling us that all people are to be treated with respect and compassion and that you should leave being judgemental about people's illnesses at the door. Since she was discussing HIV and occupational exposure and prevention as part of the job, she had a more than a few nasty little criticisms about the lack of proper education about safer sex and the government's initial response (or lack thereof) to HIV in the 80's.

I must admit I was a little surprised she was so blunt with her criticisms, but hey, she didn't say a damn thing I didn't agree with 100 percent.
