Mood Change Alert! (Or why I need a DUer from Denver as a friend: Breckenridge Brewery)
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 04:55 PM by CorpGovActivist
Holy crap!

My partner (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=7429021&mesg_id=7429021">Martha Stewart with a benchpressing buzzcut) just got home from Harris Teeter. Where the sommelier, Karen, and he are on a first-name, flirtatious basis.

Karen treats us real nice. Lots of "damaged" bottles and "crumpled" cans.

Karen has given Patrick the hard sale extol of Breckenridge Brewery - based in Denver - for the longest time. Today, she made the sale.

One third of a bottle in, and I'm feeling a mood change coming on.

http://www.breckbrew.com/">Partakable?!? Holy crap, I'm a sucker for a good new word with a good new microbrew.

If you're a DUer in Denver, I beg you:

1. Corner the market now, before the convention.

2. Hold back a case or two for me. I will do your windows. Or whatever else you need done right.

- Dave

But if I were...

Well....

You can guess the rest!

Nice to see you today, sweetie!

2. My very dear Ms. Peggy...
... I am now only halfway into bottle 1 - truly to be savored - and I am now very much in the mood to hear your latest powerful creation.

I have been writing...

Not sure if any is suitable for public consumption, though...

I'll let you know, though...

Enjoy your brew!

5. I will lay down heavy - and I do mean HEAVY - air cover for anyone who dares...
... criticize your brown eyes, blue.

Go a little blue, CaliforniaPeggy. It's OK, you're among loving friends.

6. Karen must've pinched his ass or something, because "foo foo" ...

... is not his thing. Ever.

Vanilla Porter. It is amazing, and we now both see why Karen has such a tough time keeping any, of any variety, in stock.

18. CorpGovActivist, I work not far from the Breckenridge Brewery.
When you and Patrick and Kaghime and Hawkeye and Writer all come downtown in August, we'll venture over there and quaff a dozen or two!
