how do I size a photo in iphoto in my mac
for an avatar..... I have the pic in my iphoto and in my photobucket..... I would prefer the photobucket one thanks

3. I asked that same question on here a year or two back
and was told that iphoto is limited and couldn't resize pictures, unless you pay for the upgrade.

6. You can export the photo from iPhoto into any size
From there, you can bring it back into iPhoto at that size. It's a roundabout way, but iPhoto does resize photos.

5. There's a neat shareware program called Graphic Converter
I use that to resize images all the time. I don't know the site off hand but Google it. It's fully functional without paying the fee, it just gives you a nag screen after a while. I paid for it though just because it's so useful.

8. Here is how it can be done
You have an application called Preview. It is in your Application folder. Drag the image you want to size onto your desk top. Open Preview In Preview, under "File" pull down menu go to "Open" Open the selected image. In the Tools menu Open: Adjust Size If you want a really exact pixel size use pixel Make sure the boxes are checked that say: Scale Proportionally and Resample image
