**Pics from yesterday (some whales), Maui **

Can you stand a few more?

This was, by far, the most difficult thing I've ever tried to photograph. Boats are required to stop, immediately, once they are within 100 yards of a whale...and begin to slow down 400 yards from them (which is good). We saw other boats get closer, but I'm glad we didn't... even though it made it harder to get close ups.

Unfortunately, this one is out of focus.

I don't know if you'll be able to tell, by the pic below, but at one time there were over a dozen spinner dolphins swimming under and around our boat. I was so stunned, I almost forgot to take any pics! :D

i was out on a jet ski in the gulf once and had stopped for a second because we saw a school of fish and all of the sudden we were surrounded by dolphins. they were very curious and friendly and it was awesome.. something i'll never forget. i just love them.. they are such beautiful creatures.

This is just an uneducated guess: the whales seemed preoccupied with each other! lol However, the dolphins were *definitely* interacting with the boat! :hi:
