I can't believe that I have to get up at 6:30 am
5 days a week, starting Monday, thru mid-May...OMG. To begin with, I'm a nightowl, and I'm soooo not a morning person... x(

Any suggestions on good ways to get/stay asleep? Those are my 2 biggest issues when I try to go to bed at a reasonable hour...

Help! :o

3. Aww.....

Sniffa gets up at 5:30 every day, been doing it for years...I have no idea how he does it...

Also, this will rob me of my morning homework time, which stinks. Despite not being a morning person, I do think and work better in the early hours, compared to the afternoon/evening. Sigh...

6. Will. Never. Happen.
I'm lucky if I can fall asleep at 11. If I had it my way, I'd be up until 4am every night...this stinks, utterly.

4. Well here is what I do
I'm a chronic insomniac. But my natural wake up time is 4a anyway.

My advice, though, from having to adjust to odd hours during my pledge drive is to go to bed really late the first day and then get up really early so you'll be exhausted that first night and will go to bed early.

5. i hate to say this but starting tonight you should try and go to bed earlier and then set
the alarm for 6:30 am and do that again on Saturday night, by Sunday night you'll be getting used to it.

13. i know it is and i'm sorry but if you start tonight it will be an easier adjustment.
every summer i go through the same thing with my kid, about a week before school starts back up, it makes the first morning of school way better---all the way around.

7. Join the club...
honestly, your body just gets used to it. I still have times when I can't fall asleep until an unreasonable hour, but normally, I'm just so tired that I crash before midnight.

It'll take a few weeks and you'll never really be a morning person, but your body will accept the new schedule.

11. after a few days, you'll just start going to bed earlier
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 03:42 PM by DS1
but they'll be such rough, grueling days you'll wish you were already crapping your pants in the retirement home.

and take a lesson I'm trying to learn myself, staying up till 3 or 4 or 5 on the weekend nights will do nothing but fuck up your first few days in the week

14. My body never adjusts! I need sleep and lots of it!
I get up at 7 every morning and that about kills me! I know that is late to a lot of people. Lucky for me, I work for myself! So, if I am late, no biggie!
