DAMN!!! I'm not getting any replies to my emails!

I've got about a dozen emails out to people--generally friends. Some as old as two months! But I haven't heard back yet! One was for a lunch date for January 18 that I sent out on December 12. No reply! Well, guess what? That date has past! Then I have a flurry of emails among two friends and me that occurred between January 2-9, then *poof*--no more! Then I had a New Year's wish I sent on December 31--no reply!

Does this every happen to you? You send out warm, heart-felt and/or deeply philosophical emails and NO ONE REPLIES???

I'm a composer and I have three original works out to performers interested in playing them. Some of these works I sent weeks ago--yet, no email!!!

What gives? Am I not using email properly?

I'm beginning to think I've got "ignore" written all over me! :(

1. Are you sure they went through?

or maybe they answered but you never received the answer because your email is messed up. It could be a possibility.

But I doubt if ALL my emails either didn't go through or their replies didn't get to my inbox.

I just don't know--maybe I expect too much out of life. Lower one's expectations in life and you'll never be disappointed.

3. Why I am saying this

is that at work our email system is fucked up at the moment. I get emails a day later and our big boss told me today she doesn't get some emails at all and that people call her why she doesn't respond.

4. We do have problems with our system from time to time...

...but I'm using a third-party email service. Don't know why it would be affected by the system at work...:shrug:
