21. Just out of curiosity, do you have any native american ancestry?

I've noticed that just about everyone I know who was born very light blonde but ended up with darker hair later in life was part native american. The two most extreme examples are my brother (so pale blonde his was almost white... and now his is so dark brown it's almost black) and one of my exes (a quarter cherokee, her hair's as dark as mine now but it was very light blonde when she was young.)

I need a bit of "enhancing" now since I've gotten a bit mousy with age and living in a cloudy climate, but yes, I'm a natural honey-colored blonde. I was a platinum blonde when I was a kid. (And yes, in response to a post up-thread, I have just a bit of Native American heritage - about 1/16 Cherokee or so.)

I always wanted to be a redhead, though. I read through the redhead thread and looked at the pics with more than a touch of envy...

and they're both stunning. I'd kind of like for my hair to be a bit redder than it is, I guess, but I'm not willing to dye it or anything - too lazy. ;) I have been a brunette and a redhead, though - when I was a baby, my hair was really dark, and when I was a toddler it was sort of copper-colored. :shrug: Now it's dirty blonde, with some hints of red sometimes in the right light. :hi:
