Should I make a fried rice to add to my dinner menu?

green beans and carrots

Dessert (warm chocolate cake)

1. Wow! What a dinner!
I'd say you don't need the rice, especially since you're already serving a starch. Enjoy your dinner! :9

2. No.
I don't think that menu needs you to add anything.

5. No, but perhaps have a loaf of crusty bread on the table.
The menu has a lot of substance as it is but if some want more starch bread would do the trick.

9. If you made rice, people will feel obligated to have some. Bread, not so much.
Too bad you live so far out in the sticks.
:P

12. I'd do rice
But I'd keep it plain - so that it doesn't compete with the lamb or chicken, but can sop up the gravy/juices.

You don't live near Florida, do you? Good. Otherwise you might get an unexpected eleventh guest...

14. I would add rice pilaf, not fried rice--
goes with the chicken; goes with the lamb. I prefer rice to potatoes.

17. Mmm... a truffle risotto would go well with the chicken.
And tuck a few truffle slices up under the chicken skin, too, while you're roasting it.

You don't say how things are going to be paired up - is it rack of lamb with the beans and carrots? Chicken with the scalloped potatoes? Other way around? What's the order of dishes?

With the quiche and the scalloped potatoes and one serving of vegetables already, I don't know where you would fit rice into the mix.

you don't need rice with the scalloped potatoes.

21. can't go wrong with rice but....
how do you cook all that food and have enough energy to actually eat once it's all ready? That's always the problem I have when making large meals.

Hope you have a fun evening and some help in the kitchen. :)

otherwise, it would spoil a perfect dinner.
