Sisters-In-Law: Who needs them?
Certainly not me. Even my husband used the *B-word* to describe his sister today. In almost 26 years I have never heard him call anyone that.

*sigh* Ain't family great?:eyes:

she's incredibly intelligent , yet has similar tastes to my own, appreciates by twisted sense of humor , and she was born 2 weeks before me.:) And we both love her baby sister.

8. One of mine is harmlessly annoying. The other is meaner than cat piss.
I'm convinced that she lives on the blood of puppies.

9. I've got one and she does nothing but bad-mouth me
to everyone. My mother- and father-in-law, my brother-in-law, heck my husband's whole family. She even tries to bad-mouth me to my husband. The worst part, she doesn't know me at all. In 7 years of marriage, I have actually been in her presence a whopping 4 times and every time she was either drunk or complaining that she wasn't drunk yet. I've talked to her on the phone a whopping 3 times. The first time she told me I planned my wedding specifically so that she couldn't come and then told me not to come to her wedding or to anyone's house on my husband's side of the family ever again. The second time wasn't much, just her asking about her brother (then in Iraq). And the third time she told me that the whole family blamed me for my husband not being around them as much anymore (he was in Iraq!) and that everyone hoped we'd get a divorce.

I've cut toxic people out of my life and she is one of them. It pains me that I don't get along with her and her relationship with her brother is strained but I cannot listen to her crap anymore.

10. I think men tend to get along with their wife's sisters more than women and their husband's sisters.
I don't know why that is but I think it is generally true.

13. My SIL has caused more friction between my husband and I
than any other member of either of our families. She can't seem to let go, and we've been married almost fifteen years. I finally called her on her shit a couple of months ago; she called Grandma and tried to enlist her, and Grandma evidently told her to stop interfering.

I will breathe a huge sigh of relief when she gets married. Then again, I'm not sure how much things would change.
