Surf pictures taken today at El Porto (Manhattan Beach CA)

These pictures are not mine, but for those who like surfing enjoy.

The surf is 1-2 foot overhead with close out conditions. Close out means that the wave breaks simultaneously all along it's length.

What is the practical effect of close out sets:

Make the drop on a wave



Do what every surfer wants to do, by surfing the "tube".



And having the whole thing collapse on you, thus insuring your ass getting worked.



I see my doctor next Wednesday, and hopefully I can get an idea when I can get back out there after getting injured.. surfing. :crazy:

I used to surf in Venice and Topanga (I sucked at it but who cares).
Maybe I need to think about coming back, but only after the strike. Maybe then I can get some editing work.
