Recs for a good grocery-store available Cabernet? or your fave red?
I'm going to go get one when husband gets home at 9...something buttery and not too dry would be good. Drinking it with cheese or alone...Thanks!

1. It really depends on where you're at, but I like Smoking Loon and
Ravenswood zinfandel - both of those are often in grocery stores. These days, it seems like as long as you stay away from the $3 stuff on the bottom shelf you can find a lot of drinkable wine at grocery stores - just pick a cool name/label. :)

2. Believe I've seen both those labels here..
...thanks. I haven't tried a red Zin yet, just getting my feet wet on the Cabs..I'm really over the merlots atm.

5. I'm not up on the recent vintages but I saw Robert Mondavi Cabernet at my local grocers
Mondavi was always one of the favorite Cabernets at the upscale restaurant where I used to work.:toast:
