I saw her do the song live in what I have to rate as one of my top five shows ever. Kansas City, 1979 or 80. The way she doesn't lampoon it in anyway is powerful good, IMO.

I also have a version of her singing "Tomorrow" from Annie that blows me away. It's a hidden track on a 2 disc retrospective a few years back. Maybe you have that? (I've looked for it on youtube before....)

Of course, the song is schlock, but Patti still finds its real heart deep in the treacle
