I'm gagging on this nasty cough syrup... ask me anything!

1. good homeade cough syrup:

-favorite mug full of very hot water
-one shot of scotch (bourbon in a pinch)
-1 Tablespoon honey
-fresh squeezed lemon to taste


you will be feelin' fine after that. Don't drink more than 2.

2. Reminds me of the "West Wing" episode where "Lord John Marbury" was telling Bartlett...

his cold remedies...and all of them involved a shot of single-malt scotch.

Frankly, i'm not much for whiskey, and Captain Morgan hasn't settled this down either.

3. Sounds like a Hot Toddy

a drink that has a million variants.

Toss in a cinnamon stick, a coupld of cloves, just to get a little more sinus-opening aroma.

It's made a comeback in adults. My sixtyish office mate has a bad case of it right now.
