From the reviews I've looked at, it looks like logitech makes the best ones? Are there any others anybody'd recommend? I'm looking for a decent deal since I'm buying two.

5. I got a Phillips basic webcam for Christmas.
I think it was about sixty bucks. It's very, very easy to set up and use, and it has a built in microphone. Way better than a phonecall!

6. I went through 3 in the past month
I tried a Logitech QuckCam COmmunicate STX and it wasn't all that great, slow video rate, then tried a Creative Labs Live! Cam Video IM Pro Web Cam, same thing, finally got a Microsoft - LifeCam Web Camera VX-3000 and it works exactly as I would hope a webcam for $50 would work.

I had an old, very old webcam from Intel that had no frills and was excellent, but opted to get a new one with the new computer this year. Also I handed off the old computer to my son, and he uses it with his girlfriend...NO, not like that! They are 14 and he HAS to have the door to his room open at all times!
