1. I've been coughing my lungs up for two months...
Everybody in the house has been sick off and on since before Thanksgiving.

Gah...

I just wanna kick this thing before the new semester starts next week... gonna be a miserable distraction if i'm hacking all through class.

8. Same here
in fact the whole family is doing it. I really thought I was going to have to take the 5 year old daughter to the pediatricial because of her coughing. Actually - it was a good thing I didn't. It turned out that her pediatrician closed her office, which was just up the street from our house, and moved to another practice over the holidays. It's actually the practice my husband and I go to, but a different office. Oh well, luckily cough medicine worked for her. For the husband and I, not so much.

15. Two weeks here.
The loser who gave it to me at work is on 4 weeks now. D the SO says if I let anyone into my office again with so much as a sniffle, she will lock me out of the house. She's on a little over a week.

If the bird flu ever shoes, we're all dead.

2. This I really need to hear...
Saturday and Sunday I was about as sick as I've ever been in my life. It was brutal.

I've been getting steadily better every day since. I REALLY don't want a relapse.

Working 9 hours on Saturday with 101 degree fever was quite an experience though.

5. I've had that thing since before New Year's.
Seems it will never go away. I can't take any cold medicine or sinus relief pills as they make me sick to my stomach.

9. It's the Bush regime driving us to this
We're all mightily stressed out from living under a Nazi regime, and it's taking a big toll physically and emotionally. I think we should send him our medical bills and say, "YOU made this happen!"

I kid - but only a little.

10. As of today, it's been two weeks since I've been at the gym.
I can feel my muscles atrophy.

I've been sick for over a week and before that, I was fighting it and pretty tired and weak.

I did manage to get out and do some walking during our spell of nice weather.

I'm still coughing up a lung severely.

13. Same here
Caught a bad cold just after Thanksgiving.

Was getting over that when we had our ice storm. I stayed in my cold dark house with no electricity for a week. During that time I started developing the cough.

It was really bad around Christmas. And has maybe been improving slightly. I don't really feel bad and I don't seem to be running a temp. But my chest rattles and I wheeze and I cannot stop coughing.

A couple of days ago was coughing so hard I felt something in my rib cage catch/spasm. Now that is really sore and it too is disrupting my sleep at night.

16. Haven't been dizzy
from coughing. But I've coughed until I gagged and I've coughed so hard that the cough was accompanied by a fart.

No doctor visit here. Can't really afford it and I really don't want to find my catastrophic health coverage suddenly cancelled on some pretense.

I'm treating with extra vitamins, OTC expectorant/cough suppressant, extra sleep, and a huidifier to help loosen phelem.

Hopefully we will all be better soon.
