What would you do without The Lounge?

I'd personally be on my 8th screen name in GD after being repeatedly tombstoned. I'm glad that I get to let off steam, drink, and be a silly person in here with all of you guys (and gals) in The Lounge.

Due to lack of interest. I came here back in March 2003 because of an anti-war article by Howard Dean that was linked to DU through another site. I didn't care much for politics back then. I just saw the war as unecessary and a disaster in the making and most of you here shared that view. So I posted in GD for a little while mainly ignoring the rest of the site. I learned that my personal beliefs aligned pretty good with the Democratic party and that Democrats in general seemed like pretty cool people. After a bunch of ranting and raving against the war and watching it unfold before my eyes I didn't feel much like discussing politics anymore and explored the rest of the site. I've been a lounge lizard ever since. I still do post in the political forums from time to time and I read them quite a bit, but my favorite forums here are the lounge, the mental health support group, and the weight loss/maintenance group.
