Tonight on tap at Tavernertavern: Dogfish Head 90-Minute IPA

The last of my 4-pak ( )

Oh well, I still have 3 120-minute IPA's I'm saving until June. Six months should do those just about right.

After this, I suppose I will *have* to drink the Green Flash Imperial IPA. Personally, that's one of my favorites. If any beer lovers make it out to California, find your nearest BevMo and grab a few 22 ozers. It's well worth it.

Oh, and that Dogfish Head - good stuff. Very good stuff. Proof that you can get some amazing IPA's from outside the West Coast.

1. I like the 60 min IPA. I can drink a few more of those than the 90 min
I know the percentages and the math, I just dont want to pass out too early

2. I have never had the 60 minute IPA
Several DU'ers have told me the 60 is really good too. The 120 is just insanity - 20-freakin-percent.

When I hit Orlando, I'm going to stock up on some DH beers, both of the 60 and 90 minute varieties. I'm assuming they should be easy to find there.

3. I get mine in Savannah. We are FINALLY getting good beers here
We have been getting the high gravity stuff from Germany, Belgium, and Holland for a little more than a year now.

I love my trappist beers too

4. Belgians are a beer I have to leave, and then come back to
My favorite is Piraat, which is part of that growing trend of brewing Belgian Style IPA's. Green Flash did this quite well, but Piraat set the bar.

Of course, being 10.5% and tasting smooth is kind of one of those brewing miracles.
