I went to counseling today , and was told feeling worse happens a lot in the second week of starting on Prozac , I will be ok, I will start feeling better soon.

I need to get my rear end to the doctor to probably change antidepressants. (oh joy)

I have been on Zoloft for years, and it seems to have lost efficacy, plus I am having some awful PTSD stuff come up since the wild fires that came a mile from my home in October. Like I cannot sleep at all when it is windy. And being all panicky and stuff.

So glad you are doing better though. Just make sure you are really assertive with your doctor if things even start to feel really wonky.

5. That's great news

I take meds for my head, too, and I remember how hard it was to hang in there waiting for them to work. Just remember to talk to someone when you are feeling particularly bad. It can make all the difference in the world.

And they are all volunteer so they really do care about what they are doing. You did the right thing by calling them.

21. I just started Prozac a few weeks ago...

the first week I felt like I was on cloud nine, and then I crashed. Is that what happened to you? I'm finally starting to feel better on it now after four weeks.

there was even a sense of relief that something was working , then the crash came

And when I was prescribed Prozac (in 7th grade, no less) the very same happened to me, but in the form of hyper-anxiety issues. I'm so glad you're doing better. :)

Feeling worse, and even black dark depressions are a side effect of Prozac and other antidepressants . Be aware of this and be aware of your feelings so you know if it happens.

that stuff is a beast to kick later on
