EQUAL RADIO AWARDS 2007 - my own award ceremony!
Edited on Mon Dec-31-07 12:40 PM by Malmo Blue
Meant to post this at my blog Equal Radio (http://equal-radio.blogspot.com) tomorrow - but I think I'll post it here right now as a little teaser before officially mentioning it on my blog tomorrow. SO here are the winners! Or in this case, whiners:

FOOT-IN-MOUTH AWARD
Winner: Ann Coulter!

The Dame Edna of the American right-wing really shouldn't be calling fellow males "faggots".
Such as the case was when she said the following about Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards:

"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic residential candidate, John Edwards,
but it turns out that you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot'."

Verizon, Sallie Mae, and Netbank pulled out of sponsoring her.
And plenty of newspapers dropped her column too. 'Til next time, Ann - don't say that about Edwards.

"If I'm going to say anything about John Edwards in the future,
I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot."

WHAT THE FU...!?

MUNICH BEER HALL AWARD
Winner: Michael Savage!

There are just so many reasons to give Michael Savage the award for being the biggest Nazi in talk radio this year. In fact, I had to write on 47.000 little pieces of paper and throw them all into the sink. Blindfolded myself, and picked up a quote from the sink. And VOÍLA! Look what quote I found...

"I'M NOT GONNA PUT MY WIFE IN A HIJAB! AND I'M NOT GONNA PUT MY DAUGHTER IN A BURQA! AND I'M NOT GETTING ON MY ALL-FOURS AND PRAYING TO MECCA! AND YOU COULD DROP DEAD IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT!"

Why, that's a real nice thing to say to the approx. 10 million people who listen to Savage DAILY. That nasty tirade cost Savage ten of his sponsors and about $1 million dollars in ad revenue. Can we pray for an N-bomb from Savage in 2008? So we can REALLY get him out of the airwaves this time...

YES MAN AWARD
Winner: Brian Maloney, aka The Radio"equalizer"!

What is worse than a Michael Savage fan defending Mikey's violent rhetoric?
A Michael Savage fan defending Mikey's violent rhetoric - and instead going after liberal radio talkers who say something they find offensive.

Mike Malloy talked about having "violence fantasies" about Dana Perino and Scott McClellan - and of course Brian Maloney had to freak out, write about it on his blog, and once again call for a complete ban of liberal talk radio. Remember the media climate in the old USSR? Yeah, that's what Brian wants.

And does Maloney care that Michael Savage called for the genocide of a 100 million Muslims? "No, he's only going after the Islamofascist-nazi-kukluxklan-paedophile-wifebeaters. But Malloy having fantasies about Dana Perino? HOLY SHIT!!! Quick, let me get a really old picture of Malloy and put it up on my video! Then, I'm sending the quote and picture to my buddy Bill O'Reilly, so he can do a segment about Malloy! Time to destroy all liberal talk radio - 'cause I'm The Radio"equalizer"!"

YO-YO AWARD
Winner: Don Imus!

"That's some nappy-headed hos there. I'm gonna tell you that now, man, that's some—woo.
And the girls from Tennessee, they all look cute, you know, so, like—kinda like—I don't know."

Wrong, wrong, WRONG!!!

Imus was fired for the comments, but guess who got his radio show back in December?
You got it: Don Imus. Quite a bunch of whack-a-loons on right-wing talk radio, ain't it?
