I just saw "Golden Compass" and "I am Legend"
I made my very own double feature today at the matinee.

I really liked Will Smith in "I am Legend", and I think I'll go find the book, even though I understand it is considerably different from the movie.

7. Didn't see either movie in 3-D.
I think I read something about one of them in 3-D at the IMAX but we went to the Alamo Drafthouse where we can sip on wine or beer and eat some quesadillas or pizza. :D

2. I liked it to "Legend"
but I wish there had been more tit for tat with him and the 'zombies' screwing with each other. That could have been a movie in and of itself

9. i know!
i thought it was a little odd that there wasn't more of a battle of wits. that scene with the booby trap was really a surprise

4. I was unimpressed with Golden Compass
To me, it looked like they took all the fantasy elements of the last several years movies and mushed them together. There just didn't seem to be much of a guiding story.

5. Saw "I am Legend" on Christmas Day
and thought it was a good movie. Kinda messed up but overall good.

We also saw "The Great Debaters" and I highly recommend it. :)

6. I saw "Legend" this weekend too.
Just before we walked into the theater a tween boy walked by with his mother and said "I Am Legend" STUNK!" We thought it was a bit better than that. :-)

The pacing was a bit weird in places but it's not a bad film and worth the price of the ticket IMHO.
