I have work in 3 and a half hours and I've only had two hours of sleep. Do I,

I work retail and Friday morning is a truck shift, i.e. I get into a truck and empty the boxes from it.

1. why aren't you sleeping now?

I routinely have to work 12 hours on 2 or 3 hours sleep, thanks to the asshole dayshift world (I work nights)....my advice is to go to work, then load up on the coffee/energy drinks half way through your work day

2. Oh I've tried going back to sleep

I woke up because I had to go to the bathroom, and when I got back to bed I was there for half an hour and nothing happened. I went to get a drink, went back to bed and nothing again. I'm near the point I am just going to lay in front of my computer (it's on the ground) wrapped in blankets and if I sleep great and if not, caffeine will save me.


Edit: I'm just really ticked because I had all the time in the world to get sleep before work, but I just could not do it tonight. I can easily go to work without any sleep which I sometimes do out of necessity, but I hate it when I could get sleep and do not get any.
