I came to the Smiths relatively late (try 2001) and finally got around to buying a Smiths DVD a month or two ago. I was watching this on my iPod on the way to and from California and was completely blown away by it. Enjoy!

2. A long-ago ex of mine got me started on The Smiths...

I think it was around 1986, and I remember "The Queen is Dead" being the first of their releases that i had (a cassette tape of hers that ended up living in my car long after we broke up).

Finally got to see Morrissey perform in 1992... great show... would love to go again if he's ever touring the States.

4. He just finished a tour of the States!

I saw him in Dallas back in May and got front row center. I was robbed of a handshake three freaking times by the idiot guy next to me, but Morrissey flashed me the "OK" sign when he saw my BartCop "Worst President Ever" shirt, and I got the collar of his shirt when he threw it into the crowd!
