my sister did really did a number on herself over the weekend
I called her this morning to wish her and my nieces a merry christmas - in the course of the conversation, she casually mentions she's doing ok with the stiches...

???stiches??? what stiches???

Saturday night after the girls went to bed, she was wrapping presents in the living room. She reached back to grab a roll of paper, the chair flipped back, she fell over and smashed her arm through the glass doors on a cabinet.

22 stiches -- OWWWWWWIE

1. ouch!!
That's a LOT of stitches. I hope she's not in a lot of discomfort and that she has some decent pain meds if she needs them.

Here's hoping for a quick healing.

Of course it "could" have been why the chair threw her into the window.

3. This falls under the heading of "No good deed goes unpunished."
So sorry to hear about your sister's mishap.
Hope she'll soon be on the mend.

4. Yowza, I hope the girls didn't wake up hearing the commotion
to find 'Mrs. Claus' dripping blood all over the floor! :wow:

5. I think Christmas should come with a warning label.
I damn near got run down by some asshole in the grocery store yesterday, and last night I was in the spare room to get the "Santa" wrapping paper and I tripped and fell. I almost broke my arm, and I am black and blue today. Both times I am told I showed a complete lack of holiday cheer

I swear to you all, I was NOT drinking (yet.) I think it is Christmas that is dangerous.

Rad, you tell your sis she got nailed by the hidden dangers of Christmas. She needs to file a lawsuit because she was never warned about it.

6. Damn!
Christmas must know there's a war on it, and is taking preemptive strikes.
