37. I know what you mean. 30 yrs. is a long time and you feel like, after all you went through, you'd

at least be entitled to the comfort of being with someone who knows you well, knows your
personal history and loves you for who you are.

That's what irked me the most, after my divorce. Then I realized that the "comfort" I thought I would have at this point in life
couldn't have happened with my ex, anyway. He was too wrapped up in himself and his own goals to know or care
what anyone other than himself might ever want or need. And I've never yet seen this type of person actually be happy.
They never are.

Sometimes you have to travel through the anger and the pain to get to the place where you can re-assess and
acknowledge that, amazingly, everything did happen for the best.

You're not "lost," lost - you're just still travelling, looking for the perfect place to set up camp!
