Mac users. what do you think about this?

The article is good, but at the bottom of the first page was something that caught my eye.

Next, Apple's newest version of OS X, called Panther -- which is scheduled to debut later this year -- will let corporations run Windows applications on their Macs. That's a major plus, considering that nearly all companies use Windows.


Are they talking out their asses, or do they know something we don't.

1. Actually, close to true.

Panther will connect to a Windows network and run software native to itself, to Windows and to Unix, all at the same time, according to what I'm reading.

Already OS X applications, such as Appleworks, will open and save documents for Windows that are in Word, Excel or Access.

I love it, because I have a PC at the office and want a Mac at home. It is the best of both worlds.

With Panther, Macs will be able to access the network, so people who need the Mac applications (like designers) will be able to do so while also accessing the company files.
