Anyone remember Bobby Goldsboro?

Back when my brother and I were kids, we laughed like hell over the songs "A Butterfly for Bucky" and "Honey".

I recently found a download of "Honey", and now it's not so funny (although it's still corny as hell). It makes me think of my late partner, who passed away 4 years ago, and gets me sobbing ("One day while I was not at home, while she was there and all alone, the angels came..." gets me going).

I can't recall what college it was, and it seems he said Bobby didn't finish, but that's second hand info from years ago, so can't vouch for the accuracy.
