68. The ad doesn't mention the freeway at all.
I'm just familiar with the neighborhood because I've sold a few houses there. The noise isn't bad inside those homes, but you would have to shout at anyone you were trying to talk to in the yard. Many have sold for much less than $99,000. They're ideal as rental properties... renting for approximately $850-$900 per mo.

Just think, you could just hop the fence and hitchhike to work!

46. it's screwed up, and cannot be accurate
showing a 1.5 million home with 894 square feet? I don't think so. Not here.

Unless they left the zero off the end of the square footage(?)

In reality, we're at about 400,000 for a teardown and 1,750,000 to 2,000,000 new.

15208, Pittsburgh - This is an odd zip code, because it covers both the worst neighborhood in town and one of the best.

Least Expensive - $4900:

3 bedrooms, 1 bath, estimated payments a mere $23 per month at $4900. Of course, you'll have to put up with gunfire on your block daily. Then again, a home just like this one in a comparable L.A. neighborhood might run you 100X that much!

http://homes.realtor.com/search/listingdetail.aspx?zp=15208&typ=1&sid=9337955d237c4a88aa95a41ee6bfa0d0&pg=1&lid=1082622877&lsn=1&srcnt=49#Detail

Most Expensive - $749,000:

7 bedrooms, 6 bath, game room, den, & basement, almost 100 years old and I'm guessing fully renovated on the inside at that price.

http://homes.realtor.com/search/listingdetail.aspx?zp=15208&typ=1&sid=9337955d237c4a88aa95a41ee6bfa0d0&pg=5&lid=1086427206&lsn=49&srcnt=49#Detail

I bet that these homes are no more than a mile and a half apart, but so far apart in terms of socio-economic status that they might as well be on different planets.

65. Modesto, CA: $77K to $3 million
For $77,900 to $85,900 you get a single story studio condo, with 430 square feet. The neighborhood is not bad and close to shopping and bus lines. Home owners association dues are about $200 per month.

For an even $3 million, you'll get a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath, 8000 square foot home on 2.27 acres.

Interestingly, the cheaper home is in a better elementary and middle school district than the mansion.
