5. I got a beutiful 7 foot artificial tree for 15 bucks..
Edited on Tue Dec-18-07 05:57 PM by TreasonousBastard
years ago, the day after Christmas. 90% off is a good deal.

Put it up and pretended it was there all the time. Then, I never took it down and just let it be an artificial plant in the corner.

Should it bve more decorative, there's some sort of a holiday somewhere just about every week, and certainly every month. Little French flags for Bastille day, US ones for 4th of July. Then there's Boxing Day, Guy Fawkes Day...

Pumpkins, shamrocks, Italian hats... the tree became the center of all sorts of festivities.

Too bad I moved and it's gone now. But there may yet be another one.

64. it is a 3 part artificial tree. my husband decided to wire the power for
each section independently with creative use of extension cords so when we take it down we can leave the lights on it. The topper is a small section and it has not been placed on the tree.
Once he got the access cords attached to the tree trunk we started wrapping the branches with lights. We do alternate branches..one multi colored, the next one white, all around the tree. It is a very nice effect. Well, some of our white lights were dying so we had to stop and find more. And we had family parties, and other things that got in the way. But it is looking lovely!

also my husband is very insistent on all 3 of us working on the tree together if possible, and my daughter and I have conflicting schedules. However, we now have enough lights to finish it out, and it should be ready for strategic ornament placement tonight.

This year we had to modify the tree stand because it did not want to keep the tree level, so after paddling around in cold rain for an entire afternoon with no success in finding a tree stand that would hold this tree, The Crafty One came up with a very simple and successful solution to the tree stand issue.

Merry Christmas!

Pathetic looking means you should go for some garlands or icicles to gussy it up, and shiny ornaments are best (the glass or satiny ones.)
