Holiday letters: what do you think of them? Do you do them?
I have mixed feelings about receiving them, personally.

On the one hand, they are a great way of getting the news from from far away loved ones we never see.

But on the other hand, there IS such a thing as too much information. I have one cousin who literally has sent out a 4-color tri-fold brochure about her oh-so-exciting life. :eyes:

My boring life just doesn't compare to that sort of thing. :D

I've never done a letter, but it seems we've gotten more than usual this year.

For me, it's hard enough to get holiday cards out, let alone letters.

Neither will be happening this year, by the looks of things. I'm just too overwhelmed...

How do people manage???

1. My thoughts
Most people's lives are too boring (except to themselves) to justify the holiday letter. If I was that interested, I'd probably keep in touch better throughout the year.

I send a card, sometimes include a short note and that's that. :hi:

2. Well, good for you for doing cards
that's better than me this year. :hi:

 Big ole storm comin' in. Batten down the hatches, it's supposed to get really windy! They're talking 45mph gusts! :woohoo: I loves me a good storm!

3. I wish the Mr. wasn't out in it
But I'll enjoy being cozy at home with the cat and the fire. Thanks for the weather report. :P

 :hi:

4. Hate 'em. Especially from family.
:yoiks:

I am happy for them. Just sad for myself.
